Time is a much bigger name in the mountain bike pedal industry than most people give them credit for and Time has been making clipless style mountain bike pedals for almost as long Shimano. The Time design is rock solid and very basic, which endears them to a lot of riders around the country. They are constructed using a composite carbon body, steel pedal assembly and spring loaded axles.

One of the nicest features of the Time ATAC mountain bike pedals is that the brass cleats can be adjusted to provide a 13º or 17º release angle. If you combine this with 10 degrees of angular float and an additional 5mm of lateral float, then you get a a sweet amount of shimmy that most other pedals don't offer. This is a tremendous blessing for a mountain bike rider with funky knees. If that is you then the Time ATAC pedals could be just the ticket to take some strain off those ligaments.

Time ATAC Mtn bike pedals also have earned a lot of fans who suffer from muddy trails. The TIME ATAC bike pedals offer an aggressive open design that sheds mud like a mud bogger tire. This open design simply will not clog and is the envy of other pedal manufacturers everywhere. They also offer a low spring tension which makes it super easy to pop in and out of the pedals when you need it.....very nice.
