Fox 32 F120 Fork Review

Fox F120 Review

Fox Mountain Bike forks have long been one of the front runners in the suspension fork category. Fox shocks have almost become as synonymous with mountain biking as names like Shimano. The Fox F120 RLC mountain bike fork has

been out for a few years now but has gotten a small facelift for 2009. It's still the same Fox F120 RLC Fork that set an entirely new standard for the 120mm travel class but this year it gets a bit of a steroid injection.

Redesigned crowns and steerers are just the start but Fox also adds additional lateral rigidity by teaming up with another powerhouse, Shimano, and producing the outstanding Shimano/Fox QR15 screw-through axle. This tool free axle system offers super fast and easy wheel changes and adds to the overall stiffness of the fork. It's also a bit simpler for a novice rider to figure out as it seems to be more intuitive on how it works than the RockShox Maxle setup.

The Fox F120 RLC fork sports all the typical features you would expect at this price point like low speed compression and lockout adjustment as well as adjustable rebound control. If you're one of those who likes to tweak your ride, then the Fox F120 RLC won't disappoint. The Air sprung coil with an open bath damper combined with the 120mm of travel work together to make the Fox F120 RLC a trail hugging suspension fork that will keeps its composure on the technical downhills and stick to the singletrack like velcro.

What's the catch you might ask? Good question but we didn't see any with our test fork. The Fox F120 RLC was already a great fork in our opinion and these recent additions have simply improved it. With a $750 dollar MSRP you should be able to find a great deal amongst the auction below. If you buy one, please come back and let us know what you think.
