I've seen so many people fall over because they can't unclip and I didn't want that to be me. I tried em and love em and best of all they are super easy to unclip out of so that helps a lot. So far so good and the pedals are going strong and this is my 2nd season with them. Our trails are muddy that we ride so mud is an issue and they clean well and so far have taken a beating. I have never not been able to unclip at will when I needed to and that means a lot compared to some pedals. The bearings are smooth, they are simple to operate and I am getting another pair of them for my cyclocross bike. I have 1500 miles of hard riding on my Candies and so far so good. My roomate has them on his bike too and same deal...they work great. I would recommend. I got these last summer for my mountain bike and I love them.
