Crank Brothers Candy C Pedal Review
Crank Brothers Candy
Cranks Brothers innovative striking design utilizes traditional spring loaded engagement bars that make clipping in an absolute breeze. Crank Brothers designed this pedal as an answer to those riders who were not very fond of how difficult it could be to clip into their egg beaters.
The Crank Brothers Candy pedal also offers a "platform" around the clip as well to provide an extra measure of support for your foot and give you a better platform with which to power through the stroke. When I first used these pedals I was completely impressed with how easy they were to clip into and how comfortable they were to ride.
The Candy is meant for either hard or soft sole shoes while the Quattro series needs to be paired with a hard sole mountain bike shoe.
A point of note is that the release tension on the clip is not-adjustable but there is around 10 to 20 degrees of float depending on how the cleats are positioned on your shoe. Deck height of the pedal/clip is 14mm.
These are a very functional clipless pedal design that work well in all terrains, aren't too price and look fantastic. Hard to go wrong with a nice pair of Crank Brothers Candy pedals.

I got these last summer for my mountain bike and I love them. I have never not been able to unclip at will when I needed to and that means a lot compared to some pedals.
The bearings are smooth, they are simple to operate and I am getting another pair of them for my cyclocross bike. I have 1500 miles of hard riding on my Candies and so far so good. My roomate has them on his bike too and same deal…they work great.
I would recommend.

These were my first pair of clipless pedals ever and I was intimidated to try them. I’ve seen so many people fall over because they can’t unclip and I didn’t want that to be me. I tried em and love em and best of all they are super easy to unclip out of so that helps a lot.
So far so good and the pedals are going strong and this is my 2nd season with them. Our trails are muddy that we ride so mud is an issue and they clean well and so far have taken a beating. Two thumbs up.
